Wordless Wednesday- I Must REALLY Want To Be A Librarian

Yesterday I showed up to work, and without warning was dressed darn near the same as one of the librarians. Apparently, I want to be a librarian so badly, I subconsciously dress like them. Oh, and I started work on my grad school application last night--for Library Science.
I apologize for the camera phone graininess...

Wordless Wednesday-Birthday Flowers

My husband and son got me some beautiful flowers for my birthday last Monday. This morning I noticed water or nectar on the pistol of the flower and attempted to capture it.
I apologize for the graininess, I shot it with my phone.

Wordless Wednesday-Fun With Great Grandma

I never had the opportunity to say that I have a Great Grandma, at least an alive one. But Little Man is lucky enough to be able to say that he has TWO!

Wordless Wednesday - Baby's First Trip To The Hospital

I've been MIA for a while now because life's been one heck of a mess. Since Jan 1st, there's been stroke, cancer, broken bones, surgery for bones and cancer, job loss, and hospital stays. So to segway back into normal bloggy life, here is one of my most precious photos, from probably one of the worst times of my life.

Note: I covered up his little hospital bracelet (that's why it looks weird). I didn't want any creepers stealing his info.

Wordless Wednesday -- Celebrating Hanukkah As Christians

Call me crazy, or whatever you want, but I'm a Christian that celebrates Jewish holidays in conjunction with Christian holidays. It is my personal belief that Jesus came and amended the laws of the Old Testament, not threw them into the fire. Therefore, since Jesus was Jewish, I celebrate the Jewish holidays as well as the Christian ones. In our home, celebrating both sets of holidays promotes tolerance. Not to mention, I'll take any excuse to eat a latke or some sufganiot! So this WW, I wish all of my true Jewish friends, and those like me who celebrate anyway, a Happy Hanukkah!

The perfects.....and the defects....

Tasting a piece of Latke

Not the clearest shot, but Little Man decided he's a Latke Monster!

Learning about Hanukkah, this is now one of our favorites! Dogs in a "lift the flap" book, nothing could be better! ......except......

Playing Dreidel!!
And winning CHOCOLATE MONEY!

Wordless Wednesday - Storytime at the Library

Little Man and I spent this morning at "Mommy's Work", and went to StoryTime! I played with some editing software this time around, and I kinda LOVE it. Let me know what you think!

Wordless Wednesday-- Family Photos

Over the Thanksgiving holiday, while Uncle Sucker was home, we made sure to have some family photos taken. Here is the result.

Wordless Wednesday- Heartsick for Florida

Three years ago, I took my first "adult" vacation. I went on my honeymoon with my husband to Florida as a wonderful wedding present from my Aunt. We stayed in Daytona Beach Shores, but traveled all over the state. It was my first foray with the ocean--that I remember--and I was sucked in. Fascinated. Mesmerized. It was my first time experiencing Disney as an adult, and I believe it was a better experience than when I was a child.

But this time of year, I get a little sad. I want to go back. And I don't know when I ever will...

Wordless Wednesday-Chi Town Adventures with an Aussie

For the first time in my 25 years, I took a "girl's" trip. My friend Blair traveled roughly 9495 miles from Sydney, Austrailia to come see me. So, I left my husband and little man behind and ventured out--to Chicago!

*sings*
Chicago, Chicago, that toddling town
Chicago, Chicago, I'll show you around, I love it

I was sad, yet exhilarated! Ultimately it ended up being a brilliant whirlwind trip. And I'm so happy to have been able to share it with one of my best friends that I never get to see!

Wordless Wednesday-Halloween 2011

2011 marks Lil' Man's second Halloween. Sadly, I think last year was more fun for him. Why? This year, I spent Halloween laid up with the worst sore throat that I've ever had in my LIFE, while Lil' Man had Halloween at Grandpa's...
The *HOT* new Elmo this holiday season-- Elmo Mows The Lawn :)

There was a greater interest in lawn mowing than in Trick-or-Treating

Even the dog wanted in on the action!

Examining his haul

This year Lil' Man's pumpkin was MUCH more simple, i.e. We couldn't find the carving kit, and I refused to buy a new one. :)

Wordless(ish) Wednesday--Lil' Man Is Sick. :(

Our pediatrician is making bu-koo bank off Little Man lately. We have been to see her once a week for the past 3 weeks. Today, I think I heard my wallet sigh when we went to check out. Here's the rundown:

Week One: Sinus infection
Week Two: 18 month check-up (With 2 shots)
Week Three (Today): Sinus infection AND ear infection

And though I'm being driven utterly insane by all of the whining, meals that go uneaten, and sleepless nights, I still flash back to my precious little baby when he falls asleep on me--boogers and all.

Wordless(ish) Wednesday-Baby's First Halloween

As a mom, some of the sweetest events in life are baby's firsts. With Halloween fast approaching, I found myself looking through last year's Halloween photos. Lil Man's First Halloween. He was 7 months old. He was adorable. He was, dare I say, TINY. And this Halloween, he'll be 19 months, have a set of teeth to actually eat candy with, and be able to walk door to door on his first trick-or-treating adventure. I can only hope that this year's Halloween will live up to last years'.

Lil' Man is SUPER EXCITED about his Piglet pumpkin!

We went to Grandpa's house to take pictures. Those are Grandpa's puking pumpkins...

The Best Piano Players Play Pants-less

I turned my back for one second this morning, and magically the pants were gone! Apparently, they were a hindrance to playing piano...
